A Truly Transformative Experience

Learn how to fully embody the most challenging material while taking risks and living in the moment. You'll become expert in the art of auditioning and fully 'living the life'.

In this 4 week (8 session) intensive, you’ll learn how to use your imagination to create ‘scenes’ (slices of life). When you deeply inhabit the life of your character, you’ll find there’s no fear when creating. You will dig deeper into your core using specifics (from the script or 'slice') and your unlimited imagination. Discover more complex, challenging material while still taking risks and living in the moment (and your body). Lean into the discomfort and excitement of the unknown as we explore both the creative and practical challenges of complex auditions and on-camera work.

This class will continue to explore the Haber Phrasing™ so you can confidently nail a script 'read' with little time to prepare. Move away from technical approaches and into a world of instinctive and intuitive 'acting' (creating).

Instead of trying to impress the casting director, you’ll step into your own power. Through the use of specific imagined details, you'll create characters who fully show up while you’re auditioning, cold reading and on set/on stage. This class will take you OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE and into the joyful world of creation.

IMPORTANT: This class is for advanced and experienced actors only! To participate you should have some significant real world experience working in film, television or theater.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

DIANE CHARLES

Diane is an accomplished acting coach, TV producer, and film director. Prior to her work in development and production, Diane was a successful television, film, and theatre actress in Chicago and LA, best known for her four-year recurring role on The Young and the Restless. Having previously been a therapist who helped LA creatives reach their goals, she now enjoys guiding actors toward more successful acting careers, and more authentic, happier lives. She teaches actors how to trust themselves and replace panic with power and passion.

JIM NIEB

Jim brings over 25 years of experience, training and a ton of enthusiastic energy to his classes! While one of Jim’s strengths has always been comedy, his dramatic skills are deep and grounded in truth with the Meisner training he received from Playhouse West, where he founded their successful comedy program in 2009. Margie’s positivity and the supportive nature of her team, combined with a philosophy that so positively helps actors get out of their own way and into their bodies (allowing for more truthful work), is what drew Jim to the studio. He can't wait to work with you!
